On the oldest square of the mountain village Nijar in the cabo de Gata nature park and opposite the Mudejar church there is a house which is not just any vacation house. This is an old historic Spanish house with a long history. It is out of the ordinary.

With high ceilings, an extraordinary generous terrace, full-size marble bathroom, exceedingly well appointed living room and kitchen this casa is a home away from home.

Nijar calls its self Villa de Nijar even though it is a village and not a city due to the historical importance of the village. Nijar is situated on the large mountain range Sierra Alhamilla. Sierra Alhamilla is ideal for walking, for those who enjoy nature and those who want to explore the area in and around Cabo de gata.

It is possible to have a different walk every day in the sierra, enjoy the beaches such as: Payazzo, La Isleta del Moro, Bonringo or Monsul within 20 min. or enjoy the exquisite tapas in the restaurant La Glorieta on the square or one of the other restaurants or bars in the village. On the old square with its old trees and classical houses you will find Casa La Glorieta that belongs to the Sanches family.

The casa has been restored to its old glory yet has all the modern luxury that will make your vacation even more pleasant. The living room has an open fireplace in case the evenings get a bit chilly in the winter, a digital TV system and a stereo installation. Do not forget to bring your own cds. It is wonderful to sit on the terrace enjoy the sun, the view and your own music in the background. The casa also has Air-conditioning.

The Master bedroom is very large and has a double bed and a walk-in closet as well. The other bed room has a double bed as well but is large enough for an extra bed or two if needed for small children. The casa offers two bedrooms with two large double beds but if needed it can sleep 6 persons. In the kitchen you will find washing machine, a dish washer and an oven. Naturally there is everything else that you might need to prepare a tasty meal.

Casa La Glorieta is a unique house for those who want to enjoy the facilities that the village Nijar offers explore the Cabo de Gata area and at the same time enjoy this very special Casa.
