The name already says enough, A very special picturesque village, close to Las Negras, at the sea and originally a fisherman village of the Moorish people till the 15th century when they were driven away. Thanks to this the villages received her name and also because Isleta is a name for hard shoulder. The threatened Moorish people entrenched themselves on little abandoned islands in front of the coast of La Isleta del Moro. This village has been an island itself many years ago when the sea existed more inland.
La Isleta still is a particular Spanish fisherman village, where fisherman take their fish into the harbour everyday and afterwards this fish will be served in the best fish restaurants of La Isleta del Moro.
They way La Isleta del Moro is situated is also very special. Surrounded by century old trees, Laguna’s, beautiful white sandy beach and rocks coming out of the sea which shows once again the volcanic history.
Enjoy the nice terrace of the Hostel, just at the seaside with in the bay lots of little old fishermen boats. Or enjoy a drink on one of the terraces of the bars of La Isleta del Moro.
In La Isleta you sense and smell the sea and because of a certain light caused by the surrounding mountains the sea here is more blue then you can imagine. The sun is glittering like diamonds in the sea. Yes, here the sun and the light do miracles and the spoil your eyes.
Simply dream away on the dock of the bay, in a small fishermen boat, at one of the cosy terraces or just be lazy in the sand.
And besides that, the 3 houses we can offer you are really lovely houses to spend your holiday in.
